The object of this study is the safety of the terminal buildings. Currently, building
security stations all modes of transport is given much attention, as these buildings with mass
stay of people and they, unfortunately, become the target of terrorists. The throughput of the terminal
buildings to several thousand people per hour and the distance from the city, can bring great
loss of life in emergency situations (natural, terrorist attacks, collapses of roofs, etc.). The article
analyzes the most likely danger on the data object path information their occurrence to a minimum,
and suggests additional measures to enhance the resilience of the terminal buildings.
Under the security of the airport, meaning the state of protection of the legitimate interests
of this structure, its customers and business partners, and physical assets (facilities, technical and
other means) from various threats of harm, because of the actions entailing the destruction and
the death and injury of people.
After analyzing all accidents over the last 10 years in airports around the world, it can be
concluded that the most common emergency incident is the attacks, and a small portion (less than
10%) are other causes, including collapse of structures due to not correct design or operation. An
example of this is the terrorist attack at Domodedovo airport January 24, 2011, when in the arrival
hall there was an explosion. The airport building was enveloped in smoke. People evacuated
through emergency exits. The exit from the arrivals area was closed, more than a thousand people
were recognized as victims. After these events there has been a change in the control system in
the terminal buildings in Russia - screening of all incoming to the terminal building, which continues
to the present.
