In this article, we have investigated the provision of thermal comfort in living
rooms of apartments through natural ventilation in the presence and absence of angular or
through ventilation has been investigated. It is shown that the presence of angular and through
ventilation in the climate of Khabarovsk allows reducing the number of hours of thermal discomfort
by more than two times. It is shown that the presence of a mosquito net and other factors
that reduce air exchange in rooms has practically no effect on thermal comfort in angular
and through ventilation, while at the same time it has a significant effect in apartments, all windows
overlooking one side of the world. In this paper, we investigated the increase in thermal
comfort by increasing the air exchange rate in rooms using natural ventilation, and also by increasing
the air mobility from 0.15 m/s to 0.8 m/s using local driving devices: floor and ceiling
fans. Calculations have been made for three two-room apartments having the same area and different
types of ventilation: corner (one of the rooms of the apartment has a window in the end
wall of the building), through (the apartment's rooms face different sides of the building) and
not having additional airing (all rooms of the apartment and kitchen have windows on one side
of the building).
