EVOLUTION OF HISTORY VALUE CONCEPTS FROM THE MIDDLE OF XIX - TO THE MIDDLE OF THE XX CENTURY IN THE PROJECTS OF HISTORICAL AND ART- HISTORICAL MUSEUMS

The turn of the XIX - XX centuries was a transitional stage on the path to the
formation of a new culture. The search for modern architectural and artistic forms was
associated with research in the field of art history of previous eras, which, in its turn, was
characterized by an increased interest to history and its material monuments in the XIX century.
In this regard, it became necessary to accumulate, preserve and transmit these monuments to
future generations, because the creation of new art couldn’t be based without the experience
gained by our predecessors. This contributed to the emergence of a new type of architecture -
the museum. The study of history, and, accordingly, its reevaluation in the minds of a
generation, has led to the evolution of a modern history value concepts system, which is
reflected in the spatial planning methods of the internal structure of historical and art-historical
museums
