PENCIL FIGURE AS A HISTORICAL FORM OF GRAPHIC LANGUAGE: LINE AND VALER

The article draws attention to the actions of the most ancient expressive
means of drawing - a line and a spot associated with it. A line and a spot in their
interaction are the most effective means of sculpting volume in the graphic space of a
graphic.
Pencil drawing is the main technique in which most student’s work is performed.
The choice of this technique as the main one is not accidental. Since it is it that assumes
meticulous and documented reliable modeling of the architectural form and provides the
author with the opportunity to study the form using a pencil as a drawing rod. This
pencil linear-graphic technique allows the draftsman to focus all his attention on the
structural-plastic and spatial-spatial qualities of the depicted object. It uses the
properties of a pencil, similar to the properties of the classic linear sketching graphics of
the late XVIII - first half of the XIX centuries, which allow the student to solve his main
research problems.
In addition to a pencil, other drawing materials and techniques were used in the
students' drawings, depending on the task set by the author. By analogy with the pencil
technique, you can use the ink-pen technique, you can also draw with a rapidograph or
felt-tip pen, charcoal pencil, even sticks of sanguine, charcoal or sauce, a fat core or
pastel.
