STYLE AND COLOR IN THE EUROPEAN HOME

The article is devoted to the review of general trends in the use of color,
starting with the rock paintings of our ancestors who lived in caves in the distant Paleolithic era. The role of color in the residential buildings of Ancient Egypt, Ancient
Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, as well as artistic styles that defined fashion in the architecture of the interiors of the 18th and 19th centuries are considered. The features of the use of color in the interiors of different eras to the modern era
are revealed. It is possible to see what leading colors and decoration techniques of the
interior were characteristic of a particular period and style; about the aesthetic interaction of different colors and shades.
