MODERN METHODS FOR INCREASING THE DENSITY AND WATERPROOFING PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE

The article is devoted to the actual problem of increasing the density of concrete in structures using various methods. While exposing of aggressive media (atmospheric
phenomena, sea water, groundwater, etc.) structures are subject to intensive corrosion process,
which leads to the destruction of the material, and then the structure itself with the loss of loadbearing capacity. The existing regulatory documents don`t contain instructions and recommendations on the choice of a particular method of compaction of concrete in structures. The analysis of scientific and technical literature and patent documentation revealed the main directions
of increasing the density and waterproofing properties of concrete. The advantages and disadvantages of each method, as well as the scope of their application are revealed.
