Depressed towns. Evaluation criteria and stages of process of extinction

Study focused on the emergence and fading of abandoned cities, identify the criteria for determining depression, causes of extinction, as well as the sequence of negative processes that produce regressing cities. Depressive captures all areas of the city paralyzing unit of sustainable development. Usually in the cities of this type are violated or blocked most domestic bonds, which leads to a complete or partial extinction. Identifying urban imbalances at an early stage and the use of properly selected methods of revitalization, will help in a timely manner to prevent the degradation of the city. On the territory of the Russian Federation in 2014 from 87 subjects accounted for 45 depressive, of which 12 subjects exposed to acute depression. The most depressed regions of the Russian Federation can be considered: Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Vologda, Volgograd, Orenburg, Irkutsk and Kemerovo. In the same list: Altai Territory, Republic of Sakha. In the cities of these regions is urgently of revitalization-needed events followed by monitoring, analyzing and curated development programs.
