TO A PROBLEM OF CONTINUITY OF TRADITIONSIN ARCHITECTURE AND TOWNPLANNING OF UZBEKISTAN

Research is devoted to study of problems of continuity of traditions in architecture and town-planning of Uzbekistan; to questions of preservation of historical architectural heritage. The rich cultural traditions of Uzbekistan mastered by experience of modern development of cities appear as the important precondition of perfection of aesthetic qualities of urban environment. The reference to a heritage is capable to make active creative search of originally modern features of regional architecture. Specificity of the Central Asian historical cities was the dense building with division on inhabited town planning – “makhalla” and allocation of several main known complexes (mosque,
“medrese”, palace structures, main urban markets etc.) Environment of the ordinary structures, craft workshops, trade markets with their scale contrast only emphasized significance of buildings of monumental architecture In formation of an aesthetic originality of architecture and town-planning the role of color is significant. The reception of a concentration of the large weights of color on majestic domes and minarets has got the important town-planning meaning.
