TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT OF NORTHEAST CHINA DURING THE FORMATION OF THE STATE OF MANZHOUGUO
Japanese invasion of Manchuria (Northeast China) in 1931 marked the beginning of 14 - year reign of Japanese militarism in the China region that historically bordered with Russia. The policy of the Japanese authorities in the occupied territory was intended to strengthen the regime and its economic basis, to develop the region, to establish military and military-economic foothold for their aggressive plans for the rest of China, the Soviet Union and Mongolia. To identify the specifics of the territorial development formation is necessary to consider all the complex forms and methods of colonial policy, associated with the establishment of the new state of Manzhouguo - the first in Manchuria during the occupation. Also it is important to analyze ways of a “new type colony” building that resulted in the creation of all the prerequisites for regional development and overcoming economic backwardness.
